Hello. On page 33, middle column, is it meant to say ‘a minimum of 70% open space’? or is this a typo? Seems a high requirement.

Hi Theresa! No, not a typo. I suspect that the requirement is a means to ensure that developers don’t take advantage of this ‘new’ type of dwelling and pack them in onto a site, like units. I believe the requirement provides the flexibility to have different sized tiny dwellings and as long as that amount of open space is achieved then a good balance has been reached to maintain amenity and privacy. What are your thoughts?
